ECU Student Guild Membership
The Student Guild is an organised association of enrolled students. Its primary function is to further the common interest of its members. Under the Edith Cowan University Act (the ECU Act), a student automatically becomes a member of the Student Guild upon enrolment, for the period of enrolment, unless the student wishes to opt out of membership.
Eligibility:
All enrolled ECU students are eligible to be members of ECU Student Guild but you can elect not to be a member.
(The names and contact details of all members are made available to the Student Guild for administrative purposes).

Guild membership is free.
Amenities and Services Fee
Amenities and Services Fee is a voluntary charge. This is a fee collected by the University and passed on to the Student Guild to fund the provision of an agreed range of services and amenities to all students. If you elect to pay, the Student Fees Office will advise you of the deadline for payment. Failure to make payment by the deadline will result in certain penalties and restrictions.
The following classes of students are exempted from paying the fee:
- students undertaking a course of study not leading to the award of any degree, diploma or certificate of the University;
- international offshore students;
- students who are enrolled in one or more units of study with the University but whose principal place of enrolment is another Australian university; and
- students who do not choose to use the amenities and services funded by the fee and provided by the Student Guild.
